I'm not a twitcher. I'm not hugely interested in collecting sightings of rare species. I just happen to live in an area with a lot of bird life, and a husband who likes photography. So we got into the habit of going for walks with his camera, and most of the subjects for his photos were birds. And that led to curiosity about the names of the birds we were seeing. And then he gave me a camera so I started taking my own pictures on our walks.
This blog isn't about cataloguing curiosities, or even showcasing our best photographs (Paul does that on his flickr page). It's just a snapshot of the birdlife we share our environment with.
